Windows Updates

In addition to anti-virus and anti-spyware software, you must keep Windows updated with the latest patches. Please select your version of Windows below for instructions on how to do this.

Windows 7

To get the latest updates for Windows, you must run the Windows Update program. To do this, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go the Start menu (Windows Orb)
  2. Select All Programs
  3. Scroll up until you see Windows Update. It should be just above "Accessories"
  4. If no new updates are listed, press "Check for Updates"
  5. Install any selected updates. Please note: you may have to perform this process multiple times.

Windows Vista

To get the latest updates for Windows, you must run the Windows Update program. To do this, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go the Start menu (Windows Orb)

  2. Go to All Programs. At the top of the list, you should find Windows Update
  3. Once at the Windows Update page, select "Express"
  4. Install any updates provided.
  5. Please Note: You may have to perform this process multiple times in order for your computer to be fully updated.
